#16 Power Dust is a topical powder you simply mix with water and apply to wounds as a poultice. It is a wonderful support to the body's own miraculous power to heal itself, and should be a part of every pet emergency kit. Description
Each jar of #16 Power Dust contains approximately 45 scoops. Inside you’ll find a precise, consistent, and powdered blend of the following herbs (in alphabetical order): Boneset, Capsicum, Comfrey, Flax Seed, Golden Seal, Lobelia, Marshmallow, Plantain, Shepherd's Purse, Slippery Elm, and Yarrow.
Recommended use: If the wound is fresh and moist, it will stimulate circulation and tissue growth by simply sprinkling the dry poultice mix directly on the open wound and then wrapping with a vet wrap. Leave it covered in like manner for 12 hours and then remove the bandage and wipe with a clean cloth. Reapply the poultice powder and leave exposed to the open air for 12 hours. Continue this cycle until wound is completely healed. If wound is dry or scabbed over, you can make a poultice by mixing a small amount of water to a measured amount of the powder and applying the poultice directly to the wound and wrapping with a sweat bandage. This too should be done for 12 hours on and the 12 hours off with the dry powder put on the wound while the bandage is off.
