We’ve been going down to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo for quite a few years… starting with when owner and founder of Silver Lining Herbs, Mickey Young, competed 10 years in bareback riding between 1976 and 1986. Since then, Silver Lining Herbs has been there for the past ten years and we have compiled a list of the top 10 best things to do while you are at the WNFR.

  1. Cowboy Christmas

Ok this is a given, but really, Cowboy Christmas is the ideal place for anyone looking to finish their gift list. Located at the Las Vegas Convention Center, it hosts over 400 vendors with items anywhere from western clothing, boots and hats, custom jewelry, toys and knick knacks and so much more. Open daily from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

  1. Food

With all the walking and shopping you’ll be doing, you’re going to get hungry. One of the best places to eat that we have found is called Steak ‘N’ Shake. This place has awesome hamburgers and fries, and their shakes will keep you coming back for years! Of course, there are nicer restaurants to eat at if you are looking for that too. Here is a list of highly recommended restaurants, as well as some of the best buffets in town.

  1. Transportation

If you think transportation is going to be an issue, don’t worry, its all around you! A free shuttle bus service is provided at each of the main hotel and casinos. They can take you to the Thomas and Mack, to Cowboy Christmas, and so much more!

  1. World Series wstrlogo

Do you like team roping? Head to the South Point to check out some of the most talented ropers from all around the country. December 5th-11th, this roping has prize money in thousands of dollars.

  1. Entertainment

Are you a Country music fan? You are in luck because some of the greats are in Vegas during the WNFR. George Strait, Reba and Brooks and Dunn, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Tim McGraw and more are in town and tickets can still be bought online! Another great option is the Wrangler NFR After-Party at The Mirage. Starting at 6:30 each night, admission is free! Click here to see the schedule of concerts that are lined-up.

  1. Cowboy FanFest

Looking for fun events to entertain yourself and the kids? Located right next to Cowboy Christmas in the Las Vegas Convention Center is an interactive fan experience. Food and live entertainment, interactive booths, rodeo exhibits and an arena, this is definitely a place to spend some time at. This is where events like Bull Fighters Only, Wild Pony Races, and Mini-Bucking Bulls are all featured! And the admission is free!

  1. Buckle Ceremony

Every night there is a buckle ceremony at the South Point casino for the winning contestants in that night’s round. Starting at 11 p.m. in South Point’s Dance Hall, if you have never been, you don’t want to miss this!

  1. Behind-The-ScenesGrand Entry Practice

  1. Silver Lining Herbs Booth #3540

Last but not least, you don’t want to miss Silver Lining Herbs’ booth. Avoid shipping by coming and stocking up on product you need for your horses. We also have awesome #BeALegend shirts and hats to through in, so come by and see what deals we have for you! Here is a quick look at where we were last year, and this year we are in the same place!

Well that about wraps it up! We hope to see you guys there! Don’t forget to make a stop at the booth to visit us, and we hope that our top ten list of things to do at the WNFR helped you with your plans! See you soon!
