Kidneys are another area where today's horses are put under extreme stress with a chemical environment. The kidneys primary function is to cleanse the blood and produce urine, which excrete wastes; due to the critical and body-encompassing nature of this job, improvement in kidney function will help restore and relieve a wide range of systems and symptoms. #37 Kidney Support helps maintain optimal kidney function, and may be beneficial in:

  • Supporting general bladder and kidney issues
  • Behavior issues such as general crankiness, poor haulers, general discomfort
  • Performance issues such as avoiding hard stops and turns
  • Helping maintain normal fluid levels throughout the body
  • Looking at sides, frequently lying down, acting colicky but won't roll
  • Helps maintain normal pH which may reduce the likelihood of crystal formulation
  • Training and performance support for exercising muscle
  • Soreness in back, joints or feet, or tight muscles
  • Reducing free radical formation
  • Won't relax, especially while being ridden

My mini horse was down for two years. He foundered one winter morning, and was never the same. Some days, I couldn’t get him up, and had to roll him, to keep him from getting sores on one side. He had rotated quite a bit (we had a vet take x-rays), and the vet suggested we put him down. “Nope,” I said. For two years I buted him, and the farrier trimmed him every four weeks. Little improvement. He was grinding his teeth in pain. Finally, I came to this website, and was told I needed No. 23, Laminae support, along with No. 37, kidney support. I had read, too, on the internet, that extra calcium and magnesium were recommended, so I bought a product called Citramins II by Thorne and poured a capsule of powder on top of the herbs. In two days Pony was up and walking. In five days he was running with the herd. He is back out in the pasture, eating normally, and galloping when the herd gallops. I am in awe, and grateful. Anyone who likes can call me, and I can tell you more; however, the bottom line is that he’s not in pain, and is moving awfully well. Sincerely, Karla Kuban

My gelding was drinking and urinating excessively. When riding he did not want to round up through his back. I fed Kidney Support until he symptoms disappeared. Once every other month he gets one week on the Kidney Support. He no longer drinks/urinates excessively and he is much more relaxed under saddle.

I can’t say enough good things about this product!!! My 20 year old mare was suffering from colic, back pain, poor coat and underweight After just 3 days of using the Kidney Support her coat was already shining like a copper penny. She is now steadily gaining weight and looks 100 times better, plus no more colic issues. I also can’t rave enough about the customer service and follow up phone calls from Chance to check how my mare was doing.
