Herbs are assimilated at the cellular level as they enter the body and travel throughout the system. The benefits of a complete and healthy diet may take 30-90 days to recognize.
Our horse line products come in a powder form. They are best given in the grain as a top dressing.
Most horses are excited about getting the herbs, but there are those who do not particularly care for them at first. If you will put the herbs in front of them as a top dressing and walk away, they will generally be gone when you come back. Using a lesser amount for a few days and gradually increase until recommended amount is achieved is also a good way to get your horse to get the herbs. You can also mix the herbal products with water to create a paste and paste them orally with a large syringe for a few days until they start getting accustomed to them.
Herbs are the purest form of vitamins and minerals and the easiest assimilated, therefore they will do a magnificent job to maintain your animals’ natural health if they are the only product you choose to use.
No we don’t. We have not seen an advantage in doing a loading dose, and feel in many cases animals do better this way.

"It is an excellent product. It has definitely helped with two of my horses having less gas. In fact it's almost completely stopped."
"Yup! So if your asking yourself if this stuff works…"
"Works!"
"If you have a colic prone horse never stop using Digestive Support. I have one gelding that has been on this for years and it has helped him more than I can tell you."
"Love Silver Linings and everyone of their products. If you have a question and call they will make the time and ask anout exactly what you are wanting and they will make suggestions and they have always been right for me. I have a mare that is so so sweet until she comes into season and then our poor gelding needs to run. She is still sweet to us but her pasture mate knows better and goes the other way. Once she’s over it they are best of buddies. Silver linings suggested we try Mare Mood and it worked and is amazing. Thank you Silver Linings."
"Customer service was great. They answered all my questions and help me choose the right product. We began to see results within a few days. After a couple of weeks, my horse was right his rain. We will continue to use this product."
"I have been giving my mare Digestive Support for a couple weeks. She had colic surgery 3 years ago and has recently been diagnosed with Inflammed Bowl Syndrome. This herb combined with Infla-aid seems to be helping her out…still on the testing stage, but so far so good."
"Using it with Kidney and Probiotic. JR has great days, meaning a couple of no leaking, and then good days, meaning less leaking, and then there's the bad days of both back legs covered. Ugh. Still using daily. Lots of hope here."
"DUNCAN is a SR gelding. I have owned him since he was 2 and for years we had a SERIOUS colic problem with him UNTIL we put him on Digestive. Yes, we have had a couple of episodes but NOTHING like before. I also this past year changed hay suppliers and put him on GUT in the morning...and he gets Digestive at noon. I have also learned with a Colic prone horse it is best to feed three times a day. I feed a little pellet food with a scoop of GUT at 5 a.m. and hour later he gets his hay. At noon he gets a little pellet food with Total and Digestive. At 5 p.m. he gets a little pellet food with Pituitary. At 6 p.m. he gets his hay. This regiment has really worked out perfectly and so far NO MORE COLIC at all. I highly recommend S/L herbs."
"I had a mare for years that was prone to gas colic. As long as I kept her on digestive. I didn’t have a problem."
